Makeup Trends You Have To Try For Fall 2022
September 15, 2022Autumn is upon us, and It’s now time to update our wardrobe, our hairstyle and color, and our makeup palette. Before you run out to restock your makeup bag with all of your favorite fall colors join us here to learn what’s trending in the world of makeup this fall. We’ve put together a list of six makeup looks that you simply have to try this fall.
Gothic Eyeliner
Thick black eyeliner has been a signature gothic look for many years, but this fall it’s being borrowed by everyone. This isn’t just thick black eyeliner-it goes beyond that. For this look, the liner is so thick that it functions as an eyeshadow as well as eyeliner. Pair this look with a dark-colored or bright red lip for a dramatic effect.
Faded Lips
If you’re tired of the same old lip color, give the faded lip look a try. You’ll start with a bright or dark color in the center of your lips, right around your pucker. This color should then slowly fade to be several shades lighter at the edges. Reds, pinks, and peach shades lend themselves well to this look. Top it all off with a high-shine gloss for a look that will make people do a double-take.
Striking Cut Crease Eyeshadow
Typically cut crease shadow is in a shade that is just a shade or two darker than the rest of your lid, but this season it’s a different color together. What starts as a sexy smokey eye with shades of black and gray gets an unexpected pop of color right at the crease. Burgundy, red, and baby blue are some of the striking shades that you can expect to see in the upcoming season.
Bejeweled Faces
Rhinestones and gems aren’t just for jewelry in 2022. They are popping up on faces everywhere. This is a look that you can really have fun with. Adding just a couple creates a classy and understated kind of look for a formal event. Or you can create a design for a unique and eye-grabbing look.
The Nude Look
The no-makeup makeup look is back. This trend follows the philosophy that less is more. A tinted moisturizer or lightweight foundation will even out your skin tone with a natural look. Add a simple clear lip gloss or nude lipstick, mascara that is just a couple of shades darker than your hair, and you are done. The goal is to enhance your natural beauty without adding to or taking away from it.
Sunny Rouge
This look mimics the sunkissed glow of spending just a little too much time outside on a sunny day. It is achieved by lightly sweeping a rosy color across the cheekbones. When your cheeks are done, without picking up any more color, sweep the brush across your nose first, then one pass across the center of your forehead from temple to temple, and finally very light dust of the chin to complete the sunkissed look.
