Get This Season’s Hottest Braids In A Few Easy Steps
August 14, 2022In case you haven’t noticed, braids are the hottest hair trend of the season. They are showing up everywhere as detail elements in other hairstyles as well as stand-alone styles. Different types of braids are even being combined in new ways to create new braided styles that everyone wants to try. If you’d like to jump on board with braids to finish out the summer, you’ve come to the right place.
Many people have trouble braiding their hair. Sometimes it’s because they lack the necessary hand-eye coordination and are all thumbs. Other times it’s because they didn’t properly prepare their hair for braiding. To get perfect braids every time start by applying Eufora International Thermal Defense Prep spray to your damp tresses. Then blow dry straight and smooth with YS Park Pro Straight Air Styler Ion Brush. Now you have the perfect canvas for creating some awesome braids.
French Braids – These classic braids look a lot more complicated than they actually are. They are super cute on their own and blend well with other braids to create unique styles. You’ll start at the front of your hair and divide it into three sections to begin the braid like a traditional braid by bringing the right and then the left side sections over the middle. Then take the right section and add a small section of hair from the outside before passing it over the center. Repeat on the opposite side and continue to the nape of the neck. Secure here or continue with a traditional braid to the ends.
Waterfall Braids – This braid style is a favorite for special occasions because of the way that it uniquely contains your hair while also showing off its beauty. The braid starts with two sections on one side of the front of your hair. While holding one section back, pick up the third section and lay it over the first leaving the ends hanging down. Bring the second section back over the third and twist the first and second sections together. Repeat adding another section to hang between the two followed by a twist until the braid has gone as far as you would like. Tuck the ends underneath your hair and pin them securely in place.
Fishtail Braids – This technique results in a uniquely textured braid that is very relaxed with sort of a boho yet elegant feel. It begins with your hair secured into a ponytail. Use a ribbon that you can untie or an elastic you don’t mind cutting once you’re finished braiding. Next, divide the ponytail in the middle. Now take a small section from the outer edge of one section and pull it over to the opposite side. Do the same on the other side and continue the entire length of the ponytail. Secure the ends and then untie the ribbon or cut the elastic at the top. Pull a few tendrils around your face and curl them for the perfect finish to this romantic braid.
Don’t fret if your braids don’t turn out perfectly neat and tidy. Imperfection is part of the charm of many braids, especially ones like the fishtail. Once your braid is just how you like it, give it a spritz of Euforastyle Firm Mist Workable Finishing Spray to protect from humidity and keep everything in place.
