Color It Up For Winter
November 9, 2017The weather is cooler, the leaves are changing, and you’ve probably got a houseful of relatives coming in the next few weeks. The last thing you need right now is to be stressing over what to do with your hair. Fortunately, we have a few colorful ideas that will give you just the lift you need to look and feel your best during the busy, chilly weeks ahead.
If you’re looking for just a little something to perk up your color, look no further than tried-and-true ombre. This year it will more subtle than it traditionally has been with very gradual changes from root to tip. You can also tap into the trend toward using warmer tones for your highlights to help you fight back against the cooler weather.
Another simple switch up is a tiger-eye balayage. It’s a mix of honey, amber and uber soft browns hand painted into your style to bring depth and movement while highlighting your facial structure at the same time. Plus it’s super low maintenance and will grow out naturally over the coming months.
If you’re thinking about something a bit darker and a bit more daring, consider a chocolate mauve color. It’s an eye-catching combination of chocolately brown shot through with light pink highlights. If that seems all a bit too much, make those highlights a soft driftwood color instead. Want to bring more fire to your look? Opt for a full on red that mixes orange tones in amongst the reds and browns, or bring it down just a notch with a strawberry rose color that will let you experiment with red without requiring much upkeep.
