Trending Hairstyles for Back To School 2022
July 14, 2022Every girl always wants to look her best when heading back to school. After a summer away from classmates, you want to wow them on that first day back, so your hair and outfit must be en pointe. We’ve put together a list of styles that are trending this year for you to use for inspiration. You’ll rock the school with any one of these jaw-dropping hairstyles.
Side Braid With A Low Pony
This easy style looks like it took much longer than it actually did. Starting just above the temple, section off the front portion of hair to the top of the opposite ear. Secure the rest of the hair into a low ponytail. French or Dutch braid the front section across the front hairline and down to the ear on the opposite side. Continue braiding to the ends and wrap around the base of the ponytail to hide the elastic and secure.
Half Up Fishtails
This is a great way to kick a half-up hairstyle up a notch or two. This looks great with straight or curly hair, or if you want something really fun crimp it. Divide the two front sections and fishtail braid one section around each side from the temple just to where they meet in the back and secure with an elastic. Braid, crimp, or curl the tails if you wish, or just leave them straight.
Bubble Pony
This look is sort of retro and super fun. You can make it even more fun by using elastics or scrunchies to add color. The style begins with a basic ponytail. Spritz the ponytail with Unite Texturiza Spray and tease to add volume. Place another elastic about 4 inches below the first. Tug on the hair between the two elastics to fluff it out and create a “bubble”. Repeat the process by placing another elastic about 4 inches from the previous one and fluffing the section between until you reach the ends.
Braided Knot
This is a soft and feminine style that looks intricate, but it’s easy to create. It starts by loosely parting the hair down the middle. Very loosely dutch braid along the hairline from the center part down each side to where they meet at the nape of the neck. Continue braiding each section to the ends. Twist and loop the braided tails into a knot and secure them with pins.
Topsy Turvy Braided Space Buns
If you’re looking for a hairstyle to showcase a free and fun-loving spirit, this is it! This style begins with a center part from front to back. Staring at the nape of the neck, French braid up to the crown on each side and secure with an elastic. Now you have two options. Continue braiding each section to the tips or leave them unbraided and twist them into two loose buns and secure them in place. You can also mix it up by braiding a few tiny sections of the tails before forming your buns to add just one more fun little detail.
Curls and Bows
What goes together better than curls and bows? This is a dressed-up half-up style. Start by curling the ends of all of your hair. Secure the front section just below the crown, but don’t pull the hair all the way through on the second pass. Leave the hair in a loop and split the loop in the center pulling one section to each side. Fan each section out to form the loops of the bow and secure each the top and bottom with a hairpin. Now take about half of the hair from the tail and loop it up over the center of the bow tucking it behind and pulling it down through behind. Pin this section in place at the top of the bow. Touch up the curls in the tails of the bow if necessary and give everything a spray with Unite Go365 Hairspray to hold it all in place.
